A personable and prolific valuer with over 20 years’ experience in the building and valuation industries, James developed skills and competencies around construction and renovation in his early years on building sites. This experience translated into a sound knowledge of the hidden issues related to residential construction, from the planning stages through to the fit-out and inherent problems associated with residential construction on difficult sites.
Becoming a trainee valuer in Sydney, James rounded out this “bricks and mortar” foundation with a focused education in insurance valuations and plant and equipment valuations for specialised property including schools and major sporting clubs such as Penrith Leagues Club, before returning to his home turf to work with the community he grew up in. Strong local connections inform James’ in-depth market knowledge, while he has established himself as an expert specialising in high-valued waterfront properties as well as rural and agriculture entities such as broad acre dairy farms in the Shoalhaven and Eurobodalla local government areas.
James’ extensive experience has seen him conducting high volume Statutory Valuation work, as well as a wide range of valuations for the Federal Circuit Court, Family Law Court, government, bank, non-bank, and private clients for all purposes. His consistent, and quality advice to investors in these areas have resulted in a reputation for superior client service; but James’ real idea of a good time is hitting the beach on a fat tyre bike with his young family in tow.
