Commencing his career with the NSW Valuer General’s Department (now Valuation NSW) and State Valuation Office as a trainee and registered Real Estate Valuer, Adam has since accrued 30 years’ experience in acquisition and statutory valuation work statewide.
A preferred valuation expert for every council from the Shoalhaven to the Victorian border, Adam consults with the government, acquiring authorities, and landowners alike. His skill in translating complex matters into easily understood language is a cornerstone of his Directorship (commenced in 2008), and key to the training he delivers to the Graduate Valuer team who assist with the Rating & Taxing contract.
Originally only contracted to set rating and taxation values for two Local Government Areas in NSW, Adam has grown the coverage area to include Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama, Wollondilly, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla, and Bega Valley LGAs.
He balances the delivery of Valuation NSW milestones with specialised valuations including ground rentals, special leases, and permissive occupancies; asset valuation programs, and recommendations of compensation for compulsory acquisition under the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991. In this way, Adam can provide ongoing guidance and training for junior valuers as they branch out into mortgage, stamp duty, taxation, and asset reporting valuations.
Adam hopes by teaching them everything he knows he will somehow be afforded more time to fish, though yet no more luck out of the boat than in.
